Acquired in the sunny lands of Basildon :O)

Inspired from a time where my dad would play reggae from his record and reel-to-reel collection. Always on a warm and sunny Sunday with a jug of Guinness Punch close by.

This bike got its usual paint strip and rust treatment. Significant additions include:
• White chain.
• White brake pads.
• White saddle and pedals (from a 70s Raleigh Twenty).
• White Raleigh Record tyres (from a 80s Raleigh Stowaway).
• White rear bag (from a 70s Raleigh Solitaire).

Custom mods include:
• Adjustable rear rack straps
• Wooden dice valve caps
• Yellow tinted headlight.
• Repainted displays for each gear position. Painted in the colours of the Jamaican flag (1st Gear: Black, 2nd Gear: Yellow, 3rd Gear: Green).

“Bubble gum” – THE FREE DESIGN (1970)

First heard this song on an episode of the Gilmore Girls – don’t judge :O) …Anywaaay I thought the song was pretty cool so made plans for the perfect tribute.

Rescued this cute Raleigh Safari from an old couple in London. Then stripped her of all paint to gave it the full rust treatment. Mods include new yellow boots, some green cabling and a green bike chain (took a while to find the right shade of green to match the brake housing though)

No reupholstered saddle this time but I did finish the bike off with some super cool limited edition tie-dye pedals and grips.

“Réalisant mon espoir” – TALKING HEADS (1977)

Bought this Triumph 20 initially for its rear box bag. Decided to do collaborative effort with the better half and build a bike inspired by one of her favorite records by the popular 70’s band Talking Heads.

Its been a while since I wanted to try a two tone rust look on a bike and Psycho Killer was the perfect project to experiment on by rusting the mud guards and slightly rusting the frame.

Psycho Killer comes with yellow cable housing and a yellow bike chain, with an inspired pair of blood curdling pedals and grips representative of the famous horror movie.
