BIO

Ballzy was rescued from an employee of the famous Greenwich Fire Station. This build was inspired by my favourite Eminem record and more importantly lyric :O)

Surface rust was partly developed by using the leftovers of a can of beer to make Beer Can Chicken, resulting in a well covered rusty frame that’s rich in colour with a tint of redness.

Not too many mods on this build, just the painting of the chainring, stem and bolts. All in all very happy with the black on rust (with purple accents). Would love to see this rust bucket hit a half pipe one day, I imagine it would look awesome #tailwhip

SW-9.1.5. was a quick build and thank you present for a good friend.

This bike was stripped of all original decals and replaced with personally designed ones (professionally printed by Diginate). Decals consisted of orions belt, the name of bike and the constellations of Orion and Canis Major.

SW-9.1.5. was given new grips, white wall tyres and an old vintage sprung saddle. A little tricky to handle with her coaster brake, but she ran smoother than a chocolate mug of hot Baileys.

This one was a bit of an experiment to see if I could marry the old with the new. Unsure if I could pull it off, I continued the build with the song Ya Mama (by The Pharcyde) in mind, so that on lookers would know that I just don’t give a #@$% about how I look :O)

Ya’Mamma was stripped of all paint and rust with a darkening ingredient. Along with a brand new pair of white trainers Ya’Mamma was given a white chain and towels to cover the bull horn handle bars and Brooks saddle (towel nicked courtesy of popular hotel as advertised by Lenny Henry :O)

During the rusting process I exposed the raw steel in the form of an old Shapez Athletic logo (top tube) and the constellation of Canis Major (left fork and seat tube) and Virgo (right fork)

Inspired by the 90’s hip hop hit Shiftee by Onyx. The songs bass line was the key influence to this build along with is owner at Shapez Athletic :O)

Shifte was stripped of all original decals and was given new legs and shoe in the form of some old skool style Skyways and phat Dehart tyres, and amongst many other parts he was also given some essential gold accessories and a black layback seatpost which was powdercoated by Maldon Shot Blasting & Powder Coating in Maldon, Essex.

Whilst trawling the internet looking for inspiration to design and build SHIFTY, I came across this bike on a famous online auction site and fell in love. With its shabby chic, ratty good looks, I had to have it.

Great for commutes to the pub and always a talking point of interest amongst peers (and strangers). After having such a good time riding around on RUSTY I decided to build my own rusty bike (Ya’Mamma)
